Updates

Entries before September 7, 2026 were reconstructed from Git history. Dates are change dates in Japan and may differ from actual release dates.

Security and usability improvements

  • The site moved to nitei.pages.dev. Links to the old address open the same page at the new one.
  • Pages open faster: the site is now served as ready-made files.
  • Web addresses in the description now open as links.
  • The settings of "Import .ics / zip" are now remembered on this device for each event.
  • After a calendar is loaded, changing the settings fills the answers again right away, without choosing the file again.
  • Changed settings are shown below the buttons even when the settings are closed.
  • Loaded calendars can now be removed, so a wrong file can be undone. Loading a file with the same name again replaces the earlier one.
  • The event edit page can no longer be typed into until it has loaded. Text typed while loading used to disappear.
  • Small buttons and links are easier to tap on phones.
  • Other sites can no longer embed Nitteigumi pages in their own. This blocks tricks that hide a page under another so you click it without knowing.

Easier filling by time

  • In the settings of "Import .ics / zip", "By a time for each symbol" can now check whether the time is free or busy.
  • The time tool in "Fill date range" now reads as one line, such as "dates overlapping 19:00-23:00 get ✕". It uses the dates' own times, not your calendar, and can pick the other dates too.
  • Applying in "Fill date range" now says how many dates were filled.

Choose symbols by the free time in your calendar

  • In the settings of "Import .ics / zip", each symbol can now have the time that must be free. Legends that give each symbol its own time, such as "◎ all day, ○ evenings only", are filled in just by loading your calendar, and a symbol can have two times. "Fill from free time in your calendar" has moved here from "Fill date range".
  • "Fill from your calendar" in "Fill date range" now reads as one line, such as "busy dates from 19:00 to 23:00 get ✕". It can pick free dates too.

Added a contact form

  • Inquiries can now be sent through a form (Google Forms), with no email app needed.
  • Added a second form for screenshots and other images, for people signed in to Google. Text-only messages still need no sign-in.

Calendar-based bulk answers and readability fixes

  • Added a way to fill answers from your calendar by giving each symbol a time window, under "Fill date range". For events that split time by symbol, such as "◎ all day, ○ 20:00-24:00, △ 23:00-26:00", each date gets the first symbol, from the top, whose time has no overlapping event.
  • You can now change every date where a calendar event overlaps a chosen time to the symbol you pick.
  • Fixed the selected ✕ being hard to see in dark mode, and made weekend dates on the calendar easier to read.
  • Opening a link to an event that no longer exists now shows an explanation and a link to create a new one.
  • Added an icon for the iPhone home screen.
  • Dates with only a start time now count as three hours in the time-range bulk answer too, matching the calendar import.

Improved English labels and behavior after updates

  • Shortened the English response-list controls so they fit one row on phones.
  • If a page opened before a site update stops working, it now reloads automatically and keeps what you were typing.
  • Pages open faster on return visits by reusing files that have not changed.

Easier-to-read response list

  • Removed extra column width around wrapped respondent names.
  • Response-list controls no longer run off the screen on tablets or phones held sideways.
  • Moved "↑ Respond" next to the heading and sized the display controls to fit one row on phones.

Compact header and general note position

  • Made the create and edit header a compact bold monochrome title, freeing space at the top.
  • In the response list, you can now show general notes under each name or below the table.

Clearer event titles and date options

  • Event titles now use bold black or white text in a compact bordered heading.
  • Results now highlight the dates with the highest combined total of ◎ and ○ answers, including ties. No dates are highlighted when all totals are zero.

Calendar drag selection fix

  • Dragging back can now leave just one date selected. Moving past the starting point restores the selection from before the drag.

Sharing and early update history

  • Added a small link to open a post introducing Nitteigumi.
  • Expanded the update history back to the initial implementation in April 2026.
  • The results section now also shows the event name and description.
  • Moved updates and sharing links to the bottom of the page and shortened the suggested post text.
  • Reduced vertical spacing across creation, responses, history and other pages, including tighter mobile toolbars.

Release history

  • Added a release history page in Japanese and English.

Calendar imports and drafts

  • Improved overlap detection for overnight date options, all-day events, and recurring calendar events.
  • Drafts and undo/redo history now survive switching between Japanese and English.
  • Retrying a new response after a connection error no longer creates duplicates, provided the page has not been reloaded.
  • Added size limits when importing calendar files.

Consistent time controls

  • Desktop time inputs, apply actions, and undo/redo now follow the same layout as on phones.
  • Restored descriptive Japanese answer-option labels that fit on one line on phones.
  • Moved the language switch to the footer.

  • Both languages use the same events and responses.
